This document represents an example of a Certificate of Authenticity, which will be illustrated in detail below.

The Certificate can span from 2 to 5 pages, depending on the relevance and complexity of the object being authenticated.

The main page will contain, in its central section, the detailed description of the object, the name of the buyer and the signature of the Authenticator, one of the Experts specialized in the specific sector to which the object belongs.

The following pages will include, in addition to the name and signature of the Authenticator, high definition images of the object and its distinctive details, accompanied, if available, by period photographs from our rich historical archive.

In the present example, attention is focused on the markings on the piston and connecting rod; however, it is essential to underline that each object has its own distinctive characteristics. The signs of aging and markings represent unique elements that distinguish an apparently identical object from another, and will constitute the points on which we will leverage during the authentication and certification process.

Once our rigorous checks have been passed and the Certificate of Authenticity has been issued, the latter will be integrated into a smart contract, uploaded to Web3 and validated using Blockchain technology. This procedure will guarantee the uniqueness and immutability of the certificate for an infinite time.

This approach aims to build a complete history of the object, including information about the current owner, the condition and the details (or defects) of the object. Each certificate will be equipped with a secret alphanumeric serial in order to prevent any possible cloning attempt.

Thanks to the software owned by The Authentic Vintage, we are able not only to counteract the proliferation of the fake market, but also to address the problem of objects with dubious provenance. This represents an innovative step in the world of collecting, where, until now, the authentication of a product has mainly relied on individual instinct, personal knowledge or the opinion of collector friends.
